Reviewing 2024: New address brings big changes

December 5, 2024 Administration 0

Welcome to our year in review! In this series of brief articles, we’re covering our major ministry milestones over the past year. One of our biggest accomplishments this year was expanding to a new location.

We started 2024 in our cramped, leaky offices, but God surprised us in April with a brand new facility on the north side of Dayton.  Core Academy now occupies a storefront of a thousand square feet, making a much more inviting facility for guests, students, and colleagues. Our library and archives occupies much of the space, and our collections have grown this year, with new materials added to our historic Scopes Trial collection, including extremely rare newsreel footage of the trial nearly 100 years ago.  The new offices also have a nice meeting area, where we meet with students and other interested visitors.  In the back, we have ample storage for our equipment and research collections.  Our hominin fossil collection used to be stored in a pile on the floor in our old offices, but now each fossil has an appropriate place to go when we’re not studying them.  We are very grateful to grow our ministry in this much more suitable facility.

This Christmas season, we are seeking $50,000 for our fundraising goal.  If you appreciate the work of Core Academy, either through our retreats or our publications or our podcast, please visit coresci.org/donate to find out how you can partner with us to ensure our work continues!  Thank you!
