Announcing the 2025 Sanders Scholarship winner!

Since 2020, Core Academy awards an annual scholarship of up to $4,000 to a student working with an established scholar on a project related to creation and origins. To date, we’ve awarded more than $24,000, all of which comes from the generous support of hundreds of donors around the world. To date, seven students have enjoyed the blessing of mentorship through this program.
This year, we’re excited to announce the winner of the 2025 Sanders Scholarship is another paleontology student, Caleb D. Under the supervision of Matt McLain at the Master’s University, Caleb will be studying rocks in Wyoming where a huge cache of dinosaur fossils have been found. He’s hoping to better understand how such a large number of dinosaurs were deposited at that one location.
Caleb is a student at a university in the western US. As is our policy at Core Academy, we do not announce the last names or other personal details of our Sanders Scholars, to protect them from harassment.
Students and educators can learn more about the Sanders Scholarship by visiting our website. Applications for the 2026 Sanders Scholarship will open in the summer. All scholarship decisions are made by a committee of educators and scholars and not by Core Academy staff. The Sanders Memorial Scholarship Fund is named in honor of Core Academy co-founder Roger Sanders. You can contribute to the fund by visiting coresci.org/donate.
