We’re very pleased to announce a special bundle deal for the Scopes Trial Centennial program and the Origins conference. The Rhea Heritage Preservation Foundation has graciously allowed us to offer a bargain ticket to three of their events celebrating the centennial of the Scopes Trial along with a standard ticket to the Origins creation conference. What’s included in this special ticket?
- Wednesday night (July 16) banquet at historic Trinity Chapel. This 1920s-themed dinner will feature a presentation on the life of John Scopes by Randy Moore.
- Wednesday-Thursday symposium (July 16-17) “Evolving Conflict: Scopes at 100” featuring presentations by historians and scientists on the Scopes Trial and its legacy.
- Friday (July 18): private tours of the coal and iron works at Laurel-Snow Wilderness in the morning and of local Scopes sites in the afternoon.
- Saturday morning (July 19), enjoy a special oral history event at the courthouse featuring family stories told by local descendants of individuals involved in the Scopes Trial.
- Saturday afternoon (July 19), attend a matinee of Destiny in Dayton, a dramatic re-enactment of the Scopes Trial in the courtroom where it took place, followed by a special dinner with the cast.
- Sunday through Tuesday (July 20-22) is the Origins creation conference at Bryan College, featuring presentations by creation scientists and scholars
Included in this package is a special gift bag featuring books and other items commemorating the centennial of the Scopes Trial. Please note that “Evolving Conflict” is not a creationist conference and will feature evolutionary scientists and scholars talking about evolution.
Altogether, that’s a $345 value, which we are offering for just $225. If you’re interested in history and the creation/evolution conflict, this could be just the ticket for you! We have only ten bundle deal tickets available, so get one now by clicking right here!
