Adam’s Children: Tracing the History of Humanity
Join Dr. Todd Wood and Dr. Marcus Ross as they discuss the history of human origins.
This workshop will take place on October 26, 2019 in St. Louis, MO
There will be lectures given by both Dr. Wood and Dr. Ross in the morning, followed by a catered lunch, and finishing the afternoon with an extensive panel discussion with open time for questions from those in attendance.
The workshop will include discussion from Dr. Ross on the geology of the Garden of Eden and Post-Flood geology. Dr. Wood will share his current research on human fossils, taking a closer look at Adam’s descendants throughout the fossil record and much more. Participants will have the opportunity to examine models of human fossils first hand. Ticket price includes lunch and a workbook.
9:30 a.m. “Geology of the post-Flood world” – Dr. Ross will explain what the world was like at the end of the Flood and how that set the stage for human dispersal after the Tower of Babel.
10:45 a.m. “A Survey of the Human Fossil Record” – Dr. Wood will describe his research on hominin fossils and explain which fossils belong to the descendants of Adam and Eve.
12:00 noon – Lunch break
1:30 pm – “Exploring Human Fossils” – Drs. Wood and Ross will lead participants in careful examination of hominin fossil models, designed to illustrate the challenges and insight we can gain from the fossil record.
2:45 pm – Panel discussion and Q&A. Drs. Wood and Ross will discuss the current state of our knowledge on human origins and what the future holds.
